I love music period. I listen to everything I can get my hands on and am open to any audio art form. My ''original compositions'' reflect my love for sound as a whole and not confined, bound or restricted by categorization or ''genres.'' I keep myself as limitless and free as possible and always push myself into musically uncomfortable places and make myself at home. I can't remember a time before sound was my biggest interest. At this rate I'll never be bored with it.
 





[Dj IMPOSTOR]
Dj IMPOSTOR is an alter ego of James Von Boldt. Long story short, he exists in another plain of reality and has linked his consciousness to ours through James. He is truly a renaissance man and is here to create through the eyes of a different dimension. James' mind, in an attempt to separate the two halves relates this third sight to a tangible object in our world that he can wear while performing under this trance. That object is the disguise of this out of body energy and the physical aspect holding it together.

~A brief but not so brief history~
I am James Von Boldt as well as DJ Impostor and I am a writer and performer of many styles and audio art forms and play:
-guitar (acoustic & electric)
bass
drum set
piano/keys
vocals(singing/screaming/throat singing)
hand percussion
harmonica
kaossilator
synthesizer
sampling/looping
turn tables
(some) mandolin  
When I graduated from high school in 2007, I auditioned to be a singer/gondolier at the Venetian Macau China. I was hired on the spot and flown over seas to train for the worlds largest hotel/casino. I worked there for a year signing a six month contract and then resigning before deciding to not to a third time. Moving my life to a foreign land at such a young age has to be the best decision i've ever made. I traveled Asia and played in a band in a night club writing new music constantly and still continue to this day.
I plan to 
score films, 
write and record my own independent records and projects,
session on other peoples projects,
voice act,
put music to video games,
and play in lots of  underground noise groups (just for fun, no label needed)

Jk is short for James Boldt and Kyle Wilson. We did more dabbling than anything else but it was always fun jammin around. Most of our greatest live performances were public appearances in crowds at school and on the street due to us always having our guitars on our backs.We learned a lot that way and were always down to entertain the random masses.
THE STALE MARSHMELLOWZ
A funky, improve jam band!!!! We consisted of:

James Boldt-guitar/vocals
We were most often found playing HB's Italian restaurant and bar but ventured to the Emergency room, Coffee Bean and TEA Leaf and Cheyenne saloon. We were based around most of the solo work I was writing at that time but did have some popular tunes that we wrote together as a band such as ''Dancin Man'' and ''Horizon of the Lost, Loved, Damned but Never Forgotten.'' To be honest, those were my favorites to perform.
ANONYMOUS
After moving to China in August of 2007 to work as a singer/gondolier at the Venetian Macau resort, I was invited to play guitar and be the music director for a band called ''Anonymous'' which was a night club, party cover band. It consisted of

We had a blast playing the Asian nightclub scene while it lasted, unfortunately the Venetian discontinued our playing due to contracting issues.
